What "Anonymized Data" Means

When we refer to anonymized data for research purposes, we mean:

Behavioral patterns

e.g. "Users who completed 3+ missions per week showed X% improvement in habit retention"

Aggregate habit trends

e.g. "The most common habit goal in May 2026 was exercise"

Mission completion rates

e.g. "Biodiversity missions had 72% completion rate"

Self-reported score distributions

e.g. "Average self-mastery score across all users: 54/100"

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active
Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
Anonymized aggregate data may persist in research datasets after deletion

Consent & Opt-Out

Participation in anonymized data research is entirely optional. You can opt in or out at any time from your Profile page under "Data & Privacy".

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to raw user data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
